What is the Intimate Serum?

By Jackie Lamyman, Founder Made Of More

When I was creating Made Of More, I was very clear that I wanted to help women with all the concerns that hormones can create because they affect every facet of our (very busy) lives. After spending hours with doctors, female health specialists including Dr Dhesi (Made Of More’s Clinical Lead) and most importantly, women, I was able to fully understand our needs.

Without question discomfort ‘down there’ was mentioned frequently. This product gives women the antidote to discomfort with the inclusion of Lactobacillus (a probiotic key to supporting, protecting and caring for the vulval microbiome) alongside nourishing & hydrating moisturisers. And because we could all do with more fun in our lives we included nano encapsulated CBD which promotes relaxation and heightens sensitivity.

The Intimate Serum has been designed to give women the confidence to focus on themselves and to have pleasure. I wanted to offer a product that women were proud to see on their bedside table, rather than a functional product that served a purpose. The best part? Thanks to the inclusion of nano encapsulated CBD, effects are felt instantly rather than having to wait; your terms, your timings!

The easy on-the-go packaging means you are in control. The portable sachet fits in the back pocket, purse, gym or overnight bag and couldn’t be more discreet with its one handed snap open mechanism. It’s easy to apply with absolutely no fuss.

So where does one apply it?

As one would with their facial skincare on the face, apply generously to the vulva as often as required to provide comfort, hydration, balance and an ‘awakening’ which, thanks to hormonal change, may be required.

It’s perfect for use during intimate play; our user trial feedback suggests that whether you use the product alone or with a partner the results are still completely fabulous. I also hear from men who are so pleased that their female partners are really enjoying themselves when using the product together.

Just like our skincare, the Intimate Serum is fragrance free. We always focus on the skin microbiome and skin barrier with our facial skincare and apply the same to the intimate area too.

Top tip - it’s a great product to have to hand when going for a smear test. I also know that CBD is brilliant at relieving period pains when applied to the abdomen area.

Please note: It’s important to consult your GP or gynaecologist should you be experiencing irritation or broken skin around the vulval area. Do always reach out to me if you ever have any questions – hello@madeofmore.co.uk.

Understanding the Vulval & Vaginal Microbiome & the Important Role They Play.

It’s important to understand what exactly the term microbiome refers to. The microbiome refers to the collection of microorganisms (like bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other microbes) that live in and on our bodies. These microorganisms play a crucial role in maintaining health and are found in various parts of the body, including the gut, skin, mouth, reproductive system as well as the vagina and vulva.
